St. Phillips Island

St. Philips Island - South Carolina

St. Phillips Island, situated off the southeastern coast of South Carolina, is a 4,680-acre private island destination that is vastly different from any other Ted Turner Expeditions property. This rare jewel set among the barrier islands features a subtropical forest and long, white-sand beaches stretching along the Atlantic Ocean. Completely protected under a conservation easement with The Nature Conservancy, and registered as a natural landmark by the Department of Interior, St. Phillips is an oasis of pristine land, untouched and undeveloped. Accessible only by boat, St. Phillips is ideal for family gatherings, small executive retreats, and romantic getaways where guests experience the utmost in privacy.

Located near Hilton Head, St. Phillips is a brief 10-minute boat ride from its departure dock on St. Helena Island; and is completely self-sufficient with its own water and solar power supply. Ted Turner purchased the Island in 1979, and has enjoyed, along with family and friends, the unique activities and unparalleled privacy this Island offers.  Ted is delighted to add this remarkable coastal retreat as the newest accommodation offering within Ted Turner Expeditions!
